people just don't feel any qualms about imposing. someone did the same thing to me not one week ago, and i flat out told them i don't do freelance anymore. i do some pro bono work, but otherwise i'm done freelancing.
this person insisted, said it was a short project, they'd pay me under the table...they tried really hard.
i simply told them i couldn't but would put them in touch with someone if they needed it that badly.
haven't heard from them since.
