  i have t-mobile and in the South Bay (Playa, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach) it works decently. I get bad reception in my house in Redondo, and my co-worker got bad reception in Playa but he called them and somehow it's much better now. it also depends on the phone. I have the iPaq before and got NO reception, then i switched to the sidekick and my reception is OK, but still not great.
