I spent 14 years of my life in Orange County, just recently relocated to Seattle a year ago.
There are alot of nice things about living there, obviously, the sunshine, weather, etc.
There are also some not so nice things: extremely expensive living, very self-centered people, the epicenter of the materalist culture, and the fact that you HAVE to have a car.
As far as job opportunities, I didn't check out your portfolio, but the action sports scene is the biggest thing going there for creatives. Almost all the skateboard, snowboard companies are located within the San Diego/Orange County/ LA bubble. Like the previous posts here, 2A, Juxt, are in Orange County itself, with many other agencies all over.
