    its not nicer.
    if you dont have it, use what you have.

    verdana like arial are very well designed font. rather they are anti aliased or alised, it maintains its form and shape in different sizes. for on screen use, it shows clarity and crisp shape. verdana has the property to show heavier set when bold in pixel usage where as arial does not until you set it to its min applicatable size. only down side verdana is that its horizontal scale that tends to be lower than arial. when in a longer body text on screen, it tends to look flat and shortened. for long body text in pixel usage, it is recommended to use arial but for short lines or samller relative sizing, where contrast between regular and bold is significant, it is recommend to use verdana
