I really like the fact that it is different. I would think that it would be ok if you are going in for freelance or contract work - it may help you stand out. then again alot of people may not get it and presume that you are on a "different plane" than everyone else and could perceve problems with you fitting in with the rest of the cattle. Your work backs it up and speaks for itslef - i say take a shot with it and let us know how it goes.
