You know, this thread has been kind of enlightening, because I've been blowing off work to do some research on the early Chritain Church and I never knew about the Thomas Christians - which were Jews living in India who converted to Christianity in the first century (that's real, real early in church history) and thrived there until the 1500's when the Portuguese showed up and called them heretics (although the Portuguese were int eh Roman tradition of the Church which came centuries After the Thomas christians..). I never knew about a commection to India with the Christian church, especially so early on in it's history...this is some mad deep historical stuff...
What a weird and wacky religion Christianity is - and amazing how quick people are to condemn others in it..
