    Hi unfitt,

"Evolution is a robust scientifically derived observation that has been tested and confirmed again and again over the past 150 years."

    ----------------------

Depends on what you mean by "Evolution". If you mean adaptative change over time, within a species, sure. But, if you mean the evolution of one species into novel species, then, no. Falsifying Macro-Evolution is effectively impossible. To do so one must show that no conceivable Darwinian pathway could have led to a given biological structure. Can't be done. And the empirical evidence doesn't exist. Just a lot of hand-waving tales and clever textbook illustrations that people have bought into. Again, the fossil record demonstrates the sudden appearance of millions of novel body plans and then stasis, during the Cambrian era.

    -----------------

"Intelligent design is not science at all, but a well-financed political and religious campaign to muddy science, and introduce religion in the classroom."

    --------------

This is tired propaganda. As I've shown via links from the founding scientists behind ID, it has nothing to do with religion. It is science which looks for specified complexity in living systems. Similar to Archaeology - determining specified complexity vs. random unguided mechanisms. Don't conflate the science with it's implications. If specified complexity cannot be tested and falsified, then you have to throw Archaeology out the window too.

Unprogressive? Quite the opposite. What is unprogressive is holding on to the antiquated "science" of Darwinism. We have new data. Embrace it. Don't fear it.
