    Perhaps in some cases. But one can only make an authentic decision about an issue if they know both sides of the issue very well. If one neglects to consider the opposing sides' arguments, then they are making a decision from ignorance. In the case of ID, you have people dismissing it without having a clue what it is! Why? Simply because they know that it can, in some way, have theistic implications. So, it's not even considered. This is intellectual dishonesty. I couldn't sleep at night, thinking that way.
