Ya. I dont think any of the seattle bands are metal either. Their influences are certainly metal, but like I said theres that line you cross over into HEAVY METAL and I dont think any of them cross it. They certainly go into the hard rock area, but not metal, not in my opinion anyway. For example one of my fav seattle albums is Gish by Smashing Pumpkins. It is a pretty rockin album. rocks about as hard as a great AIC, SG, or Jane's album. Gish might have a little less screaming then the afformentined, but I just wouldnt call any of them metal. I wouldnt call guns n roses metal either. Just my opinion.
