Here are my overlooked classics from that decade:
Corrosion of Conformity: Deliverance
Down: Nola
Warrior Soul: Last Decade, Dead Century
Extreme: Waiting for the Punchline (they give up the glam and hairspray and discover their inner Zepplin)
Kyuss: Blues for the Red Sun
And Metallica ..Justice (1990) trumps the black album hands down...
