I just had a chance to read this thread pretty thoroughly - my conclusion is simple - science isn't fact..
... but in school - both grammar and college - shit was drilled into your head and you were TESTED on it... you had to memorize what CFC's were - how they hurt the atomasphere... how carbon dioxide is bad and that Trees are our pals for their great CO2 sucking ability...
... I planted trees every year on arbor day in grammar school - was taught to ask for paper containers and not styrofoam... and not to use aersol cans etc...
... this is all good and fine advice - it's good to live 'cleanly'... but there is definetly a massive left-wing group of whiny bitches that are constantly SCARING folks w/their crys as to why we're heating up in general etc...
... and now they tell me that planting trees in certain areas is bad?Never ONCE did I hear something like this in school... not even a hint of this kind of understanding...
... which is FINE - I just don't like the fact that this shit was jammed in my head as FACT.
It obvious that science is the continuos 'study of'... but I'm sorry - the lil lefty-wing enviro nut-jobs use the environment to push their own shit - and it works and has worked because no one ever showed evidence that their 'theories' could possible be WRONG...
... I mean... as a race of beings we are an arrogant group... we don't know SHIT about our planet or our solar system or how things really work because we're not as 'advanced' as we think. I don't think there's one drug on the market that doesn't have some bad side-effects to some people...
... my point being that nothing in our perception of understanding is fact and shouldn't ever be delivered as that... I'm very happy there's more data out there on this topic... and it's data that completely adjusts our thinking on this topic (or should at least - if you want to ignore it.. whatever - //I bet Bush planted it in the media anyway so he could feel good about poopooing the Kyoto Treaty)
