I completely agree about calling a Christmas tree a Christmas tree, and not a holiday tree, and about various other things like that.
However, since Hanukkah is falling on the same day as Christmas this year, people could say that as well.
Whatever works for people, use it and don't care about what anyone's going to say. Whatever the message is, it's usually positive, so just take it!
Although I do hate how everyone is like, "no one should be unhappy during Christmas"...
