blueman (paul) and i were just talking about this a few minutes ago..
500 bucks is nothing in my opinion... thats the sort of opening you give when you pray the person on the other end of the table is a complete idiot that will jump up for a few hundred bucks...
if they're a big company, they'll have a few more bucks lying around than that...
as for lawyers getting involved, the fact that they're name is 'eclipse' and they make shutters is no more or less relevant than you being a photographer and using 'shutters' in your url, and thinking 'eclipse' sounded cool...i think you can ask for more...
don't know about 10k, but 5 should be realistic..
