I was dating constantly during a period doing most of the ice-breaking during a mid-mid-life crisis. The lady who I eventually married was the one who came up to me. It's hard to say that if you stop looking it'll eventually happen, but most people don't approach you unless they know you're looking. Good luck and don't be afraid to make mistakes.
