The really sad thing is you almost do. Most of the major resources in BC are owned by american companies. This includes even our healthcare records, oil, hyrdo, water ect.
As a Canadian its scary to see our resource based businesses and former crown corporations becoming increasingly owned by American companies.

On the bright side, europe would probably be all over the canadian economy.
