I absolutely hate Christmas sometimes, primarily because I have 7 people in my in my house (my immediate family), and buying even two gifts can get frustrating. I'm okay with it because I can presents easily by just asking the person to give me a list of things they may want.
My mom's birthday is the 24th and my dad's is the 30th, which just makes it worse. I never know if I should buy two presents, or just give them a big one on Christmas. Or New Years. It's hard to say.
I completely agree that sometimes it's just best to give to charity. Makes more sense. I know that my family uses about 50% of the gifts we get, and therefore it's useless.
