Homesite tends to be slow, but most of the code gets writen without the need of the pop up tag menu. I guess is just personal preference, I tried homesite, after loosing my copy of the free version of cuteHTML, I'm learning dreamweaver, is not bad, is excellent, but somehow I like to write the code first then look at the page.
