It was a "worst weekend ever before Christmas" for my girlfriend too.
At a bar with all her coworkers on Friday night for their holiday party, her purse got stolen, containing a film camera, cell phone, 2 week old video ipod, 3 credit cards, keys, etc.
She was pretty upset, never had that happen before. We're rather certain now that it's long gone because someone called yesterday who found her phone in the street.
She got her credit cards cancelled, phone turned off, and I had a spare set of keys to her condo. But a good camera is gone, as is the $300 ipod.
Sucks to turn right around and buy a new one. She's just really upset that people can be so awful, right before Christmas, or any time.
