it's the little things that give away the shared recognition that they're going to be spending the next hour having a bit of A Talk. Dad looks outside the window for reassurance, daughter touches her nose and prepares for the worst.
Both are thinking "Why didn't she just shut the damn door?"
Aah, Teenage years :)
