    password protecting your work is good for a lot of reasons...

    - if you assign usernames and passwords to selected users, you can track what clients are visiting your portfolio, and which ones aren't

    - you dont have to worry about any hacks stealing your work

    - you can avoid heaps of legal issues associated with NDA's, etc.

    but if you're advertising on somewhere like NT for a flash designer...wouldn;t you want to be able to see some work on their site?
