    A newscaster at CBC (just 1 hour ago), said that American politicians should know better than to argue with Canadian candidates before an election.

    Apparently because that person usually gets a huge number of votes, all resulting from the very fact that someone large (ie. Bush or the American embassador) from the USA dislikes something that candidate is doing.

    = The more the USA (or a figure in a high place) doesn't like a candidate, the more they get votes from Canadians.

    I believe it.
