I think you'll do much better just driving around. I just moved from Pico and Barrington, those apartments around there don't list in Westsiderentals. There are plenty on Barrington (south of Pico), some nice ones, some reasonable.
Westsiderentals, in my experience with them, didn't really help. All the apartments I'd look at I would show up and there would be at least 5-20 others waiting. Not to mention the managers would always make you wait ages.
