I moved in 2002. Ups and downs since, but I enjoy every second here. I am sure you will too.
Handbags I haven't seen much of here. Could be worth looking into. But foremost, starting at a western company is probably the smartest first step. A Japanese company could prove to be difficult before you get introduced to customs here.
Anyways, come over first. If you're wife is here then no doubt you'd be set. Perhaps take some japanese classes. You'll learn more then just the language there.
