yeah, the text box looks off. I'd try to line things up - the SMU text, the menu, the box. Also line up the links in the text box.
I'd try either eliminating the text box altogether and making the text line up like the rest of the site, or line up the rest of the site.
Right now it looks a little disjunctive. A few touch ups and it'll come together.
