How ridiculous that some people get so bent out of shape when the subject of "race" comes up. People say it doesn't matter, and everybody is the same.
But acknowledging that there are differences, does not a racist attitude make. There are many differences that are manifest. And these are not merely because of race (i.e. genetical) but cultural. People of the same race/ethnic group tend to grow up under the same circumstances and environment. That in turn, gives them a common ground.
Don't be afraid to see that or acknowledge it. If you do, you're just sticking your head in the sand.
I think culture and race DO matter, because I appreciate the differences that exist. It makes life and people way more interesting than having everyone be complete clones of each other. Thank God, race, economic background, family, life experiences, education, and many other factors, make people as diverse as they are. Race and ethnicity, is just one of the many factors. Not more important, not less important. But it would be silly to ignore it.

573, I understand your curiosity. I'm not black, but I've actually wondered that myself. There's nothing wrong with genuine curiosity.
I've also wondered if I'm the only NT'er from Mexico.

Ok... I guess I am. At least right now. There may have been others in the past (I think).
