Well kiddo, I'll have to aggree with the folks that said find a new job. That's why designers and art directors only last at places a few year. The only way to get a significant raise is to get your work together and sell, sell, sell yourself. That's what we do. I have a new job now, but my last job was paying me 30 grand for three years. I have my own place in brooklyn and could still pay the rent. But that was a nonprofit. To get more money, you need some luck and some friends. Just make sure you don't bisch about wanting a new job and not going out there and looking for a new one.
One last thing, if you care about working on cool projects, you're probably going to have to do it on your own. That's been my case anyways. It usually takes about five years to finally start getting to where you want to be unless you get that lucky break (a la Chuck Anderson at nopattern)
