the nyc salary problem is when you start out with a any number most companies will not give you that dream jump of $10k-$15k to the salary you hav e now. i myself was at a job where i was severly under paid for the work i accomplished. i was at this gig for almost 5 years and in that time i only received salaries increases at 7.5% which at a higher salary is nice but at my salary at the end of the paycheck it only added up to like $35 more per check.

you want to be making at least $45k that means finding a new job, you probably will not be getting it where you are now as you came in at the $32k mark.

now you need to start asking for higher amounts! you need to start asking for $65k - $85k

you need to explain to them that your background worrking with a strong branded license of ESPN helped train you within the field. working with a corporate license is very tough and great experince under your belt.

ask for more! i quadrupled my salary from that last job where i was under paid. you have to have the confidience to know you can do the job and ask for the dollars you want because every company has the funds to pay it!

    good luck!

    :)
