    kelpie, in answer to your question earlier in this thread the answer would depend no what we were fighting for.

    I'd never join the army as a career as its wayyy too disciplined for me and fuck getting up at 5am to go for pointless 20 mile jogs or field exercises!

    I couldnt see any armies calling up civilians like they did in the 1st and 2nd World Wars as thats not the way wars are fought anymore. People arent used as cannonfodder these days as much as they used to.

    If it did happen though and i AGREED with the reason we were fighting (i.e - to stop another nutter like Hitler taking over our nation) (and especially if i had kids id be up for protecting their future) then yeah id join up.

    BUT if it was just our PrimeMinister acting on a whim or sooking up the US presidents arse in agreeing to go to war just to win another oilrich nation then nop, they can go fuck themselves.
    Makes me sad to think that so many UK and US soldiers have died for money and oil rather than honour and freedom. (and im sure it was the latter 2 were the reasons they joined the forces).
