For what its worth, i like george best. He's a hero of mine (for his football) and when i come to think of it, many of my heroes had problems, be it sportsmen, musicians, writers...
when he first went to hospital i read some posts on here saying he should be refused treatment,
i'm glad internet forum users feel they have the power of life and death over sick people.he was an amazing talent, and made some big mistakes, but his charisma always got through (though not on wogan unfortunately..)
As i'm writing, he's just been annouced dead.

and ironically now, i'm going to have a beer in memory of a good man
