Canadian Government just announced they are giving almost $2 billion dollars to the First Nations community as a compensation package.
Up until the 1980s, we had something called residential schools in Canada -US had them as well. First Nations children would be sent from the reserve to attend these "schools"... anyway they suffered lots of abuse and it's about fucking time they are getting something. Still not enough.
