I have been many times. Lived and visited. Recently was there too. The City Bowl is nice in it's own right and leads down to one of the most beautiful waterfronts in the world, Victoria Waterfront. Has many nice shops, theatres, British style pubs, world-class restaurants, etc. Drive 20 or so minutes outside the city and you hit winelands or vynlands. Stellenbosch is this area. Magnificent. Drive the opposite direction to Cape Point area for whale watching and cliff dwelling. Many nice towns such as Simonstown, Camps Bay along this route.
