  i guess it depends what you have to get done and when.

  last year i was working on a freelance ad campaign for diageo
  and felt i needed to work on it
  as we were to present on wednesday of the following week

  so i went to my familys house, ate thanksgiving dinner, hung out for a minute, excused myself by saying to had work to do and went home and worked.

  you do what you have to do to get the job done well. even if it means working late nights, weekends, holidays and whatever else.
