I dont understand it... I went to go touch and see one once they hit the stores. The new metal feels cheap- like some funky Gateway or Compaq computer. the keys feel like a cheap cell phone. Sure I know the Ti's scratched- but this just doesnt feel like $3000 dollars. Plus I thinnk it looks sort of silly with all the extra space at the bottom- what do I 12 inch hands? The one at the store was already dirty and scratched from wrist watches and bracelets and it was only on display for a day.
So you have a 17 inch screen... all that means is its not as portable... its heavy and awkward.... and screens "steal me" in the city.
I predict that this product will do the way of the cube...
Save some money and buy a 15in Ti ... perfornace test show that the new 17in is only 4 seconds faster than the Ti. Save the $1000 on go buy a 17 Apple Display for the boner.
