age old question. and i think scarabin hit the nail on the head.
but, what i'm seeing is that there is almost a fine art aesthetic that is creeping in to commercial art (graphic design)... not the heart and soul of "art", but the look. and sometimes you can't really tell much difference aside from a logo.
