alright, alright here's the trick mitsu played when depositing money and needing it right away:
go cash your check and get the cash for it. then deposit it (the cash), immediatley, despite the funny looks you get from the teller.
cash deposits show immediatley, so there's no wait.
also, if you really wanna be feisty and save time, hand them your check and tell them you want it available for immediate withdrawal... if they start yapping about 2 business days, etc, then use the afformentioned trick.
