kona, are you on XP or 2000?
I've been tinkering with shutting off processes and such lately, seeing what speeds it up. I basically just need more memory.
But why as time goes on with a computer, are there just more and more processes in the list? I've researched them, made sure they're not malicious, etc.
I wish windows specified things better. I want to know what's critical to performance, and what isn't so it can be turned off.
