Reading over that site, mimio, it seems that many of the principles they're moving forward with could and should be applied to other computers:
"Second, we will get the fat out of the systems. Today's laptops have become obese. Two-thirds of their software is used to manage the other third, which mostly does the same functions nine different ways."
Does Windows XP come to mind? Hasn't it been documented that the Home version was actually slower than an equivelent Windows 2000 set up because of all the extra stuff that was running to help people figure it all out, aka make it easier to use?
