    who said you have to invest in real estate in the US?

    no offense taken. True that what I said is not anything new, but I learned the hard way in the nineties. I gained more than I lost in the end, but I realized that companies have to keep the guy at the bottom down to make the shareholders money.

    Very good point. There is another side to this discussion, what are you willing to compromise for profits? A lot of the time, the most profitable companies are not so good for the little guy. IE Halliburton, General Dynamics, Lockheed-Martin, Guidant, Boeing....

    I personally draw the line somewhere between porn and war-profiteers.
