First off, I'd like to thank everyone for the kind words of support. Really appreciate it.
But I'd also like to ask for everyone to please stop emailing and calling Mr. Perkins and myself over this. I doubt it's coming from just this group, and if anyone has any information where else this weed has sprouted up on other blogs feel free to pass the links along so I can try to do some damage control for my business.
And just to be clear, in regards to what personally motivated Mr. Perkins to these actions I can't address, speculate or comment on obviously for multiple reasons. Please do not put words in my mouth.
I'm just a businessman trying to do the right thing here because my company name got ran through the gutter for reasons beyond my control. That's all I really know and have said. Once again, this incident was done by an individual acting on his own - and not as a representative of Perkins Bell or Anthony Liggins Studios.
I honestly have no idea what motivated him to do this. I am deeply sorry it happened for all parties concerned. End of story.
If any of you really want to help, at this point I would ask that the media be removed from the website, and that the threads be taken down at http://www.verhine.com. At this point will only antagonize things. I would prefer to put a stop to any additional editorializing, speculation, and public display of this affair however well intended and emotionally purging it may be for everyone involved. Sensationalizing this any further is only going to hurt me and my business at this point. The net will run it's course, but I prefer to nip this off at the root before it grows anymore.
