this my first foray into learning and experimenting with flash? Yup. Does it show? Evidently, judging from the harsh criticisms I'm getting from my peers in this group. But is this really about the quality of my work? No. This is about integrity, and the actions of my former partner. You can be the best designer in the world, but at the end of they day you have to know how to treat your clients with respect, and even your peers - even if you disagree with them. I admit it. I designed these sites you are ripping apart . Yup. All mine.

Do I think the perkinsbell site and demo could be improved -and revamped - or the navigation system on anthony liggins.com. Of course, and actually they *were* in the process of undogoing a major overhaul until all this hit the fan. Too much gitch and glam. Too lean on functionality and usability. What can I say, after doing a bizillion sites of "CLICK HERE" you ache to push the envelope and do something different - right or wrong. I do appreciate the constructive criticism however. This is really more about forging good client/designer relationships, and your standing in the comunity at large. This is tough business, and your reputation as a business person is equally - if not more important - than your skills as an artist. That's why I'm here to say I'm sorry my firm was involved and implicated in this fiasco. For what it's worth, Bill and I have parted company as a rusult of this and I'll be doing business under my old site. In time, I may earn your respect as a designer ... but in the meantime, I hope you can at least earn my respect first as a person. So let's set the record straight. I was the designer at perkinsbell, not Bill. If you have any *helpful* critiqes that will impove my skills, or recommend any resources that would better my understanding - please share them. Otherwise, ripping me a new one isn;t really going to help. Please don't email me about Bill and this whole situation - it's difficult enough as it is trying to get my bearings now that my dream of building a sucessful busness doing what I love has been obliterated overnight.

The best thing any of you can do, is let this situation cool down so I can do damage control with my clients. I fear, Bill's path will eventually lead him to a place none of us really want to follow, and the best thing you could do is encourage him to get help as I have done.

Peace to you, and thanks for your time.
    Ted Bell
