NTers familiar with my relentless sunny optimism (//) in this public forum might be surprised (//) to learn of a rather corrosive and embittered “dark side” I’ve managed to keep at bay for most of my adult life. Of late, though, my inner demons seem to have gained the upper hand, and in hopes of protecting those close to me (and that it’s not too late to fulfill the terms of an abeyed trust set out in my late father’s last will and testament) I am soon to repair to a remote location which avails itself of neither internet, nor television, nor alcohol, nor sharp objects, firearms or explosives. And so for now, friends, this is my fond farewell. It’s been a pleasure and a privilege hanging out with you.
