From the reviews I have read( I have read a lot) - the best ones to get Abit NF7-S, problem is this board has SereialATA - you can disable it and your board should run fine.
Also if you go down the KT400A route then maybe a Soltek(but they are cheap - which generally means mass market).
Just goto amdmb and read some reviews about nvida nforce 2 chipset and via kt400a chipset, to see which board suites you. There is no point buying a board that a guy recommends when they are told to sell a board.. He doesn't care if it breaks or not!
