Kona, you miss the point of this completely. Your analogy using your job does not work. I know there will be soldiers on their own who will do things they know they are not to on their own. The issue is the people in the President's cabinet are asking for exeptions and there are memos justifying doing this. The fish rots from the head. The US government is in the spotlight because they started a war that most people in the world think was not justified. If they were just punishing soldiers acting on their own this would not be a big deal, but that does not seem to be what is happening.
How you push this issue aside and basically justify that the soldiers should be able to do what they want until you finally see evidence they do worse is fucked up. Yet, this doesn't seem too surprising since you seem to fit the stereotype of a midwesterner living in the suburbs. This issue is bigger than just who is being more fucked up than the other, but you can't seem to see past the nose on your face. Whatver dude, you indifference to human life is appaling. Don't forget to stop at Wal-Mart on the way home to get more ribbon magnets for your car, and a sticker of Calvin pissing on Osama Bin Laden's head.
