yah this happen to me a few months ago.. thats why i have a extra external hd "250gig" that i use for dailybackups. well worth geting a external dude. Also for all you powerbook users out there alike, when my HD was about to die on my mac.. i notice slugish performance, and you could only open 1-2 small appz up before the computer stoped responding. Such appz would be Itunes and safari. also if you notice long bootup times... lol you know to backup asap, cuz it may be the last time u can boot into osx. Best of luck dude
