  you sound like the lecturers at my art college that were 'old skool' typographers, obviously not carson fans or fans of doing anything different.

  i just ignored them.
  they were trying to get me to do traditional typography. fuck that! i felt i already had a very good knowledge of typography. art college is a time for experimentation.

  i think that carson did have a good knowledge of this traditional typography and he was just trying to push boundaries to piss people with your beliefs off and just to try new things and experiment.

  we'd be still in the dark ages in this world if it wasnt for people who thought "i wonder what happens if i do this ......" rather than just conforming to what everyone else does.
