I know as this is a main source of designers and creative minds that it should be obvious and 'ok' that you mention something like this..but seriously, take a step backwards and outside to look at what your choosing to worry about.
a horizontal distortion of an image on a website.
couldn't that time be better well spent, oh, I don't know writing a quick email or letter to someone in power so that you're not even having to look or critique images of dead men in the first place? (sort of a "kill two birds with one stone" type thing. help the cause against a war and cease having to look at distroted images)
just my thoughts.
