    As I understand it you are using loadMovie to load the swf named "viewer" into you swf named "nav". To do this, you must load it into a movie clip that is already inside "nav.swf". If that mc is given the name "myClip" you would say myClip.loadMovie("pictures2/view... If variables are loaded by "viewer.swf" into its own timeline, then that is where they will reside. Not sure if this helps you.
