yea. family and friends usally always turn out all fucked up.
if i have a good gut feeling, then i go with 10% or 15% off my standard rate, (if i am not too busy working on other higher paying projects...)
i show them the ACTUAL price they would have had to shell out, and then show the 10% or 15% discount, and the discounted total.
this shows them the real value of the work, and how much anyone else would pay.
