Poor has nothing to do with letting people know whats up. I'm borderline homeless yet I still stay in touch with people....especially if it is something that I have committed too.
I've always found that if I f-up its better to let people know and explain everything to them right away instead of trying to sweep it under the rug and hope it just goes away.
