in the comics clark and lana dated for many years before he went to college, her family was never killed by any meteors ever.
chole may be the one who gets killed as she was part of any mythos previously in any part of any superman or adventures or action comics.
seems reasonable, or if you follow my belief, chole becomes lois as she is already working as a reporter for the daily planet and she already used her 'cousins' name when signing an article for the column she has in the daily planet, it makes perfect sense to me, as in the books and the movie it was lois who first called clark 'superman' but in smallville it is chole who first calls him superman.
but jaline believes lois is lois!
